This webcam captures one of the major landmarks of Sydney, the worldwide famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. By the way, it is very often called “The Coathanger” by Sydney residents. The Harbour Bridge was opened in 1932 and since that time, it has kept its place among the longest spanning-arch bridges in the world.
Every day it carries more than 200 000 cars over bay of Port Jackson (in addition to rail, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic).
Of course, the Harbour Bridge is one of the most visited architectural monuments of Sydney. Today the south-east pylon is opened for visitors and houses an exhibition about the history of construction of the bridge.
